How it works
Knockr is a directory for accomplished women who want to become mothers and for wealthy donors willing to make it possible — financially, biologically, and in whatever shape the two parties agree to.
The arrangement most users come here for is straightforward: a woman wants a child of her own, on her own terms, and is looking for a donor who can provide a meaningful, long-term financial commitment for the child. Some donors want no further involvement; others want a relationship at a distance — letters, a yearly visit, university funding. Knockr lets the two sides find each other and define the terms themselves.
For women
- Create an account and write your profile: who you are, the life you'd offer a child, what you're looking for from a donor, the financial figure that would let you raise the child the way you intend.
- We review profiles for clarity and good-faith framing before they go public.
- Donors find you and reach out on the channel you choose (email, Signal, etc.). Knockr doesn't sit in the middle of your conversations.
For donors
- Browse openly. Profiles are public; contact details are visible to signed-in users.
- Reach out only when you can credibly back what you're proposing. The most valuable thing you bring isn't seed — it's the financial commitment to a child for the next twenty years.
- Donor profiles are coming later. For now, donors find women via the directory and contact them directly.
What Knockr does
- Hosts profiles and lets the right people find each other.
- Reviews every profile before it goes public.
- Removes anything fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe.
What Knockr doesn't do
- Verify identity, wealth, fertility, health, or genetic background. That's on the parties involved.
- Hold or escrow money. All funds move directly between donor and recipient (or through a lawyer you choose).
- Draft or enforce contracts. Get a family lawyer — this is the most important paragraph on this page.
- Provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
Read the safety page before sending or accepting messages. The financial dynamics and the legal terrain here are unusual; the more you understand them up front, the better the arrangement.
